چکیده
Mealybugs are insects belonging to the family Pseudococcidae. This includes many plant-pest species with similar morphologies, which may lead errors in mealybug identification and delimitation. In present study, we employed molecular-species-delimitation approaches based on distance (ASAP) coalescence (GMYC mPTP) methods identify mealybugs collected from coffee other plant hosts states of Espírito Santo, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Brazil. We obtained 171 new COI sequences, 565 BOLD Systems database, representing 26 candidate The MOTUs estimated were not congruent across different (ASAP-25; GMYC-30; mPTP-22). Misidentifications revealed sequences database involving Phenacoccus solani × Ph. solenopsis, tucumanus baccharidis, Planacoccus citri Pl. minor species. Ten plants Santo. Due incorrect labeling barcode library dataset needs be carefully analyzed avoid misidentification systematics taxonomy improved by integrative facilitate integrated pest management these pests.

متن کاملDNA barcodes for two scale insect families, mealybugs (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae) and armored scales (Hemiptera: Diaspididae).
Although DNA barcode coverage has grown rapidly for many insect orders, there are some groups, such as scale insects, where sequence recovery has been difficult. However, using a recently developed primer set, we recovered barcode records from 373 specimens, providing coverage for 75 species from 31 genera in two families. Overall success was >90% for mealybugs and >80% for armored scale specie...

We describe and illustrate three new species of Bertolonia, all endemic to the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. Bertolonia duasbocaensis and B. macrocalyx occur close to each other, in the municipalities of Cariacica and Viana. Bertolonia ruschiana has a wider distribution, occurring in the municipalities of Santa Leopoldina, Santa Maria de Jetibá and Santa Teresa. The first two species are cla...
